Summary: The role of Legal Officer involves providing legal support within a Local Government environment, specifically to the People and Place Team at Wrexham Council. The position requires handling both contentious and non-contentious legal matters related to the Council’s Housing Revenue Account, including drafting documents and assisting Senior Lawyers. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to the People and Place Team regarding the Housing Revenue Account.
- Assist with non-contentious legal matters, including preparation of Reports on Title and land transactions.
- Support contentious matters related to Tenancy Enforcement and Housing Disrepair.
- Manage an individual caseload and assist Senior Lawyers with evidence organization and document drafting.
- Prepare instructions to Counsel and conduct legal research.
Key Skills:
- Legally qualified individual with relevant legal experience.
- Strong drafting and document review skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively.
- Research skills and familiarity with legal processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with capability to work in both English and Welsh preferred.
