Summary: The NSTA is seeking a UK-qualified lawyer to join their Legal Directorate as a Legal Adviser, focusing on providing legal support related to the energy transition. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in providing legal advice on carbon storage, hydrogen licensing, oil and gas licensing, and compliance matters.
- Supporting the development and implementation of projects, guidelines, and operational procedures.
- Drafting and reviewing regulatory documents, including licenses and consents.
- Responding to queries from internal stakeholders and providing updates on new legislation.
- Participating in engagement meetings with key stakeholders across the NSTA.
Key Skills:
- Qualified solicitor or advocate/barrister in Scotland and/or England & Wales.
- Post qualification work experience as a solicitor or barrister/advocate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide authoritative legal advice under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative approach with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
