Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the execution of customer authorized tasks in accordance with the project lifecycle process.
  • Engaging with the MoD Customer and internal stakeholders on potential opportunities and task execution.
  • Attending meetings to ensure an understanding of the MoD requirements and strategy.
  • Reporting project schedule and cost performance to senior management in accordance with project reporting cycle.
  • Applying appropriate PM methods and tools, whether predictive or adaptive approaches.
  • Agreeing project approach with stakeholders and preparing realistic plans, including quality, risk, and communications plans.
  • Tracking activities against the project schedule and managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
  • Deputising for the Project Manager as appropriate.

Key Skills:

  • PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification or another appropriate PM professional body.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of PM policies, processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Experience in building relationships, influencing others, and negotiating outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information and support the development of solutions and implementation approaches.

Salary: Up to £52,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Facilitating the execution of customer authorised tasks in accordance with the project lifecycle process.
  • Actively engage with the MoD Customer and internal stakeholders on potential opportunities and task execution.
  • Attending meetings to ensure an understanding of the MoD requirements and strategy.
  • Reporting project schedule and cost performance to senior management in accordance with project reporting cycle
  • Applies appropriate PM methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
  • Agrees project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate
  • Deputises for the Project Manager as appropriate

Your Skills And Experiences

The RECODE Project Team

The RECODE programme is an in-service support contract to deliver an evolved, scalable, modular and open Combat Management System (CMS), a refreshed Shared Infrastructure (SI), Networks and Training Systems, together with maintaining existing in-service CMS, SI, Networks and Training Systems across the Royal Navy surface platforms and shore bases. It provides a number of support services to deliver equipment availability, field support, obsolescence management, technology services, project management and integrated logistics support
