Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design for manufacture of loudspeaker cabinets using CAD software.
• Program CNC Routing machines.
• Produce accurate and timely quotes for customers based on design specifications and production costs.
• Oversee the maintenance and servicing of machinery, including managing outsourced maintenance services.
• Design and implement jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and consistency.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to workshop operatives on manufacturing procedures.
• Lead new product introductions from prototyping to production.
• Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation and promote a culture of safety across the team.

Key Skills:

• AlphaCam experience desirable.
• Relevant engineering qualifications: BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
• Proficiency in producing CAD drawings for manufacture.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with CAM software and creating CNC programs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset.
• Background in woodworking or wood-based manufacturing: Desirable.
