Summary: The Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer will oversee commissioning activities as part of a multi-disciplined team on a 12-month contract in Leven, Fife. This role involves preparing and reviewing commissioning procedures, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications. The engineer will also manage vendor activities and maintain commissioning records. The position requires significant experience in control and instrumentation within the energy or process industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review vendor C&I commissioning and test procedures.
- Read and interpret technical information, including drawings and specifications.
- Support Site Acceptance Tests as required.
- Conduct detailed equipment and subsystem walk-downs.
- Carry out commissioning and testing activities according to procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date commissioning dossiers and records.
- Identify, record, and rectify faults.
- Manage and witness vendor activities.
Key Skills:
- HNC in Control and Instrumentation Engineering or significant relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of instrumentation installation checks and calibration.
- Experience with loop checking, controls tuning, and communication protocols.
- CompEx (Ex01-Ex04) certification is advantageous.
- Experience in commissioning pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters.
- Familiarity with gas detection systems, analysers, and vendor packages.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, SCADA, ICSS, SIS, and ESD.
- Experience with PAGA and functional safety testing.
