Summary: The KYC Analyst role involves supporting financial crime controls within a leading investment management firm, focusing on client and asset due diligence to prevent illicit financial activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Asset (KYA) reviews
- Verify entity existence, ownership and control structures, source of funds/wealth, and geographic risk
- Conduct sanctions screening, adverse media checks, and open-source/paid-source research
- Escalate high-risk factors for Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) in line with risk frameworks
- Complete periodic reviews, refreshes, and maintain clear audit-ready documentation
- Manage a pipeline of KYC requests, prioritising urgent business needs
- Apply internal AML/KYC policies and contribute to MI reporting
Key Skills:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in KYC/AML, ideally within banking or investment management
- Strong knowledge of UK/European AML and KYC regulations
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a queue-based environment
- Compliance-related qualification or relevant degree preferred
