Summary: We are looking for a Junior Level Service Desk Support Staff (Level 1) to join a government department project through a leading global IT services provider. This role is ideal for entry-level IT professionals seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. The position requires security clearance and involves providing first-line support to end users. The contract is for 6 months and classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and categorise support requests efficiently
- Provide first-line support to end users, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met
- Troubleshoot technical issues independently and escalate where necessary
- Work collaboratively with the wider IT team to ensure seamless issue resolution
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a Service Desk/IT Support role (preferred but not essential)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
