Junior Developer

Summary: The Junior Developer role at United Trust Bank involves supporting the Deposit department in application development, reporting, and project-based transformation. The position requires collaboration with the technical team to enhance business efficiencies through the development of web applications and API integrations. This hybrid role allows for three days in the office and two days working from home, with a 12-month fixed-term contract that may lead to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development and maintenance of Deposit web applications and business management tools.
• Support a continuous change model through UI, API, and dynamic dashboard development.
• Develop and document strategic solutions to enhance business efficiencies.
• Develop integrations from Deposits systems to third-party systems using APIs.
• Maintain a suite of strategic reports and dashboards for the Deposits function.
• Support and maintain the Deposits core banking system, including data extraction and processing.
• Facilitate annual regulatory reporting for BBSI, ISA, and AEOI returns.
• Maintain system documentation and promote coding standards and best practices.

Key Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of related developer experience, ideally with .NET development.
• Experience with SDLC delivery.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Proficient in SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and querying.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services.
• Familiarity with source control tools like Git or BitBucket.
• Basic knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and JSON within Visual Studio.
• Experience with tools like PostMan for debugging API calls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
