Key Responsibilities:
- Strip and rebuild all mechanical components of an engine as per work instructions.
- Work to OEM manuals and read assembly specifications to plan operations.
- Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments.
- Liaise with other business units to complete tasks.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and complete documentation to company standards.
- Ensure proper waste disposal and mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable.
- Report near misses and any identified failures/faults.
- Comply with Company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and HR policies.
Key Skills:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds in motor repairs or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in the rail or automotive industry.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work within a changing environment and to deadlines.
