Summary: The Junior Automation QA Engineer role involves contributing to the development of test automation coverage within a skilled QA team. The position focuses on writing and maintaining Python-based test scripts and ensuring a reliable user experience through automation. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and supports a high-quality release pipeline. This is a 12-month contract position that is inside IR35 and hybrid working is required in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the QA automation team to expand test coverage
- Writing and maintaining test scripts in Python
- Using debugging tools to analyse data flows
- Supporting a high-quality release pipeline through automation
- Working closely with cross-functional teams
Key Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Some experience with QA automation (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with mobile automation tools is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug API or network issues using proxy tools
- Understanding of SDLC, QA processes and testing methodologies
- A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative
