  • Support quarterly, annual, and strategic financial planning processes.
  • Manage global finance projects to enhance consistency and automation.
  • Ensure robust cost control and track target benefits while analyzing monthly variances.
  • Identify and query anomalous costs and budget variances through analytical review.
  • Partner with operations functions to develop financial reports and ensure inventory recognition aligns with finance policies.
  • Oversee inventory reporting and standardize processes for data granularity.
  • Ensure SAP compliance and adherence to inventory policies.
  • Administer the annual cost roll process and manage internal controls and stakeholder relationships.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CAANZ).

Interim Senior Financial Analyst (Manufacturing) £500–£600 per day (Inside IR35) Hertfordshire – minimum 2 days onsite (parking available) Initial 6-month contract (potential to extend or go permanent)

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be central to our Financial Reporting and Planning .
  • Your duties include managing the timely and consistent reporting of monthly financials and operational metrics.
  • You'll also be responsible for the consolidation and divisional reporting of monthly financials, ensuring all processes adhere to the appropriate framework.
  • You will support the quarterly, annual, and strategic financial planning processes, and manage global finance projects to enhance the consistency and automation of our operations.
  • Your expertise in Cost Control is essential.
  • You will ensure robust and consistent cost control, including the SAP standard costing structure, by tracking target benefits and analyzing monthly variances that cause under/over absorption.
  • Using analytical review, you will identify and query any anomalous costs and budget variances.
  • You will also partner with our operations functions—including Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain—to support and develop financial reports and ensure that all inventory recognition on the balance sheet and P&L aligns with finance policies.
  • You will also have ownership of inventory reporting , with the goal of standardizing and automating processes to increase the cadence and granularity of data.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure SAP compliance and adherence to inventory policies, and to oversee the administration of the annual cost roll process.
  • Beyond these core duties, your role will encompass broad Financial Stewardship , including internal controls, continuous improvement, and effective stakeholder management.
  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CAANZ), with experience with manufacturing accounting being desirable.
  • You must have experience with Power Query or PowerBI.
  • You must be highly confident working with high data sets.
