Summary: Cedar is seeking an Interim Procurement Manager for a Public Sector client to support Innovation/R&D requirements related to Technology. This role is a 6-month contract with a day rate of £600, operating on a hybrid basis with on-site expectations in London or York. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end procurement activities and must have relevant experience in technology projects and Public Sector Procurement Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform end-to-end procurement and contracting activities for Technology projects.
- Develop, implement, and maintain contracting and commercial arrangements.
- Engage and develop solutions with Supply Chain and internal Stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a similar role within the Railway sector adhering to Public Sector Procurement regulations.
- Completion of the Procurement Act 2023 training.
- Experience managing Innovation and/or R&D requirements related to Technology.

Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client who are looking for an Interim Procurement Manager to support Innovation/R&D requirements relating to Technology. This role is an initial 6 month contract offering a day rate ranged from £600 (INSIDE IR35). The role will operate on a hybrid basis with the expectation to be on-site 2-3 days per week at the offices in either London or York.
The successful candidate will perform end-to-end procurement and contracting activities to develop, implement and maintain contracting and commercial arrangements covering a specific contracts portfolio for requirements relating to Technology projects. The successful candidate must have ideally worked previously in technology projects with experience of working compliantly under Public Sector Procurement Regulations on Innovation and/or R&D solutions. The successful candidate will also be required to/must have experience in engaging and developing solutions with Supply Chain and internal Stakeholders.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- experience working in a similar role in the Railway sector supporting requirements which are required to be undertaken in line with Public Sector Procurement rules/regulations
- completed the Procurement Act 2023 training – candidates who have not completed this training will not be considered
- experience running requirements covering Innovation and/or R&D requirements relating to Technology is required also – candidates without this experience will not be considered
