Summary: The Interim Procurement Manager role involves partnering with directorates to ensure compliant procurement activities within a non-ministerial government department based in Cardiff. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with specific directorates to ensure robust and compliant procurement activity.
- Deliver training on contract management.
- Support planning and execution of efficient procurement and contract management practices.
- Work closely with Senior Procurement partners to support directorate Directors in understanding requirements.
- Manage and execute all procurement activities in line with regulations and controls.
- Review spend and services against contracts, identifying issues and taking corrective action.
- Lead supplier review meetings to ensure appropriate services and terms are agreed.
