Summary: The role of Interim Manufacturing Accountant involves leading the finance function during a 10-month ERP implementation across two manufacturing sites. The candidate will translate manufacturing processes into accounting treatments and collaborate with various teams to ensure financial impacts are integrated into the new system. This position is critical for supporting the organization's growth phase and enhancing project costing within the ERP framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Finance functional lead on the ERP implementation project.
- Support a strong and experienced team.
- Translate manufacturing and supply chain processes into appropriate accounting treatments (e.g. standard costing, inventory valuation, variances, WIP, production orders).
- Partner with R&D, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to ensure financial impacts are properly built into the system.
- Collaborate with the implementation partner and project team to validate system configuration.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in manufacturing and cost accounting.
- Exposure to ERP systems.
- Understanding of Standard Costing and Cost roll ups.
- Experience in Variance analysis, inventory valuation, and WIP accounting.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

We are looking for an accountant with strong experience in manufacturing and cost accounting, as well as exposure to ERP systems. This is to support a 10-month ERP implementation across two manufacturing sites with differing processes, alongside our R&D function where robust project costing needs to be embedded in the system. This is a manufacturing organisation going through an exciting growth phase and implementing a new ERP system. They are based in South Cambridgeshire.
