Summary: The role of Interim HR Advisor involves providing expert HR support and guidance within an OFSTED-regulated environment, focusing on employee relations, compliance, and safeguarding. The position requires immediate availability and offers a potential transition from temporary to permanent employment. The advisor will play a crucial role in aligning HR practices with legal requirements and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on people-related matters.
- Manage employee relations cases, including grievances and disciplinary actions.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies in the care sector.
- Ensure HR policies are up to date with OFSTED and employment law regulations.
- Align HR practices with OFSTED requirements and care sector regulations.
- Support safer recruitment processes, including DBS checks and reference checks.
- Lead on safeguarding concerns and ensure compliance with reporting procedures.
- Advise on LADO reporting and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
- Conduct investigations into safeguarding concerns.
- Assist in designing and delivering HR and safeguarding training.
- Promote a positive safeguarding culture within HR policies.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR.
- Monitor and report on absence management and HR metrics.
- Assist in HR projects related to employee engagement and diversity.
Key Skills:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Previous HR experience in the care industry, preferably in an OFSTED-regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience with LADO reporting and managing safeguarding concerns.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
