Summary: The role of Interim HR Advisor involves providing expert HR support and guidance within an OFSTED-regulated environment, focusing on employee relations, compliance, and safeguarding. The position requires immediate availability and offers a potential transition from temporary to permanent employment. The advisor will play a crucial role in aligning HR practices with legal requirements and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on people-related matters.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies in the care sector.
  • Ensure HR policies are up to date with OFSTED and employment law regulations.
  • Align HR practices with OFSTED requirements and care sector regulations.
  • Support safer recruitment processes, including DBS checks and reference checks.
  • Lead on safeguarding concerns and ensure compliance with reporting procedures.
  • Advise on LADO reporting and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
  • Conduct investigations into safeguarding concerns.
  • Assist in designing and delivering HR and safeguarding training.
  • Promote a positive safeguarding culture within HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR.
  • Monitor and report on absence management and HR metrics.
  • Assist in HR projects related to employee engagement and diversity.

Key Skills:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous HR experience in the care industry, preferably in an OFSTED-regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience with LADO reporting and managing safeguarding concerns.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Salary (Rate): £18.60
