Summary: Robertson Bell is seeking an Interim Finance Director for a well-established charity in North London. This six-month contract role involves leading improvements in the finance function during a transitional period. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversee key financial processes. The position requires a qualified accountant with significant experience in the charity sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across the finance team, supporting staff through organisational change.
- Oversee statutory reporting and the external audit process, ensuring recommendations are fully actioned.
- Act as the senior finance lead for both the charity and its trading subsidiary.
- Lead on financial forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow planning.
Key Skills:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Have significant experience operating as a Finance Director in the charity sector.
- Bring a strong understanding of group structures and trading subsidiaries within charitable organisations.
- Be a collaborative, visible leader with the confidence to engage effectively at Board level and across non-finance stakeholders.
