The role requires strong leadership and technical finance skills to drive financial performance and compliance. The contract is for 6 months and is office-based in Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and improve finance business partnering and management reporting across the group.
- Support M&A activity, refinancing, and contract financing projects.
- Review and document financial policies and controls.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost management to align with strategic goals.
- Provide financial insight to maximise revenue, improve profitability, and mitigate risks.
- Lead a team of finance professionals to ensure robust financial performance and compliance.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver financial strategy and operational excellence.
Key Skills:
- Proven senior finance leadership experience with the ability to hit the ground running.
- Construction, Facilities Management, Business Services or a related project-based industry exposure.
- Strong technical and commercial finance skills, with the ability to balance detail and strategic impact.

Interim Finance Director – 6-Month Contract | £500–£600 per day | Outside IR35 | Essex (Office-Based) A PE-backed, high-growth Business Services group is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to support the Commercial Finance Director during a period of significant transformation and expansion. This critical role will lead and deliver a variety of finance projects, including enhancing finance business partnering, improving management reporting, documenting policies, supporting acquisitions, refinancing and contract financing, resolving tax matters, and driving finance transformation initiatives.
