About The Role

As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews
• Leading treatment planning and clinical decision-making
• Supporting junior medical staff and MDTs
• Liaising with community services and external partners
• Review and manage patients in the Older Adults Mental Health Team.
• There will be sessions in both Memory and CMHT both in outpatient clinics and in patients' homes, also to provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
• Supervision of junior doctors

Skills/Experience:

• Experience at consultant level in the field of Older Adults Mental Health, possession of MRCPsych and CCT in adult psychiatry
• Section 12 approved.

Essential

What We're Looking For

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• Experience in adult mental health settings
• UK Right to Work
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach

Desirable

• CCT in Old Age Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it)
