Summary: The role of Interim Finance Business Partner (Adults) involves providing financial expertise to a local authority in London for a 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the requirements of the Council’s financial strategy are met
- Identifying savings within the financial budget to support the medium-term financial plan (MTFP)
- Assisting in the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the “Adults Social Care” directorate
- Responding to information requests quickly and accurately
- Providing high-quality professional advice on the financial implications of corporate proposals
- Drafting financial comments within committee reports to inform decision making
- Providing financial reports for departmental meetings as required
- Providing specialist technical advice relating to their areas of responsibility
- Advising on financial aspects of local systems and ensuring robust processes
- Evaluating legislative and policy changes and assessing the financial impact on the service
Key Skills:
- CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience
- High level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in Adult Social Care within a local authority environment
- Strong strategic Finance Business Partnering experience in a local authority setting
- Available to start immediately

Essential Criteria
