Summary: The Interim Commercial Finance - Change Lead will play a pivotal role in enhancing the finance function of a fast-paced retail business, particularly in preparation for a future SAP implementation. This position involves process improvements, month-end close management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business performance insights. The role requires travel to offices outside of London and demands a proactive approach to support the finance team during a period of growth and change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with process improvements and help formalize evolving finance structures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve understanding of business performance and profitability.
  • Support transition planning and early-stage readiness for upcoming SAP implementation.
  • Own and execute the full month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead and support forecasting and reforecasting cycles.
  • Deliver robust Management Information (MI) and Management Accounting (MA) insights.
  • Provide support to existing finance team members and serve as a backup resource when needed.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience with NetSuite (Oracle) – essential.
  • Advanced Excel skills – an absolute whizz at formulas, modeling, and data manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience running end-to-end month-end accounting processes.
  • Strong background in forecasting, reforecasting, and financial planning.
  • Comfortable with MI and MA reporting and interpretation.
  • Flexible and proactive mindset – thrives in fast-paced, informal, and evolving business environments.
