Summary: The In-House Data Privacy Lawyer will join Squire Patton Boggs' data protection compliance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, providing legal advice on data protection, cybersecurity, and e-privacy compliance. The role involves supporting the Data Protection Officer and the Office of General Counsel, focusing on UK and EU GDPR compliance, vendor assessments, and employee training. Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on UK and EU GDPR compliance and international data transfers.
  • Support due diligence assessments on third-party vendors and conduct contract reviews.
  • Provide legal guidance on HR-related data protection issues.
  • Develop training and awareness programs for data governance.
  • Identify and address privacy compliance gaps during policy reviews.
  • Collaborate with the global privacy legal team on compliance requirements in various jurisdictions.
  • Advise on e-privacy compliance in marketing.
  • Support responses to data subject requests and compliance initiatives.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified solicitor (1-5 PQE) with data protection and privacy experience.
