Summary: The ICT Service Desk Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of ICT services for a Fire & Rescue Service in the Southeast of England. The position involves providing effective support for various ICT issues, including network and PC support, while also participating in an on-call rota. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering first-time resolutions for internal customers. This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term position based in Aylesbury with travel across Buckinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing fast and effective resolution to user ICT issues, including local and wide area networks, remote networking, desktops, laptops, security, and fire service specific equipment.
  • Supporting the provision of a 24-7 ICT service by being part of an on-call rota.
  • Traveling around Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes to offer on-site ICT support.

Key Skills:

  • Strong ICT problem-solving skills.
  • Background in Network and PC support.
  • Experience in supporting MS Windows, MS SQL, MS Office 365, and Exchange.
  • A full and valid UK driving licence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and effective communication.
