Summary: The I&E Turnaround Planner role requires a candidate with extensive experience in instrument and electrical maintenance, responsible for developing comprehensive job packages from work order scopes. The position emphasizes adherence to safety standards and local regulations while ensuring job package accuracy and compliance with technical specifications. The planner will collaborate with various teams to optimize work scopes and minimize costs during execution. Strong proficiency in SAP and familiarity with turnaround processes are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure job plans comply with EH&S Standards and local regulations, adhering to the highest safety standards.
- Use the Elevated Work Access Selection Tool to identify safe, alternative access methods to minimize worker risk.
- Incorporate feedback from the I/E Work Activity Coordinator or Technicians to validate and optimize work scopes.
- Maintain job package accuracy, ensuring zero errors and no field changes.
- Ensure job package contents meet GMWP Step 2.1.11 requirements, including flange tags, Bill of Materials, torque, and pipe specifications.
- Review Plant Maintenance (PM) orders for technical completeness and clarity. Return incomplete orders to the gatekeeper for revision.
- Conduct field walks to verify conditions and confirm equipment matches the job scope, even for archived plans.
- Verify all components meet specifications, dimensions, and constructability. Return outdated or inconsistent P&IDs to operations for correction.
- Ensure job steps, man-hours, and planned costs in SAP are accurate. Confirm job step durations, sequencing, support equipment needs, and crew sizes with contractors.
- Collaborate with TAC and MES to adjust inspection scopes and support needs, ensuring no changes during execution.
- Minimize contingencies and avoid adding unnecessary man-hours and costs.
- Update job package documents, including P&IDs and equipment drawings, to match field conditions.
- For long lead-time or non-stocked parts, obtain quotes and lead times from vendors, update SAP with accurate costs, and track delivery status to meet field needs.
- Validate purchase orders for non-stocked parts with subject matter experts before ordering.
Key Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5+ years of experience in planning I/E work
- Experience in the Chemical/Petrochemical Industry
- Self-starter with familiarity in Turnarounds and related processes
- Proficient in SAP for planning jobs, ordering materials, and scheduling equipment
- Skilled in Windows-based applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
