Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing, and staff development.
  • Lead the recruitment process, ensuring job specifications and candidate shortlisting meet business needs.
  • Provide first-line support for on-site HR queries and coach line managers.
  • Develop and implement HR strategy and best practices.
  • Assist line managers in understanding and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide advisory services on employee relations and ensure compliance with employment law.
  • Manage recruitment and selection processes, including candidate specifications and offer letters.

  • Maintain effective induction processes and manage leaver administration.

  • Accurately administer personnel correspondence in a timely manner.

Key Skills:

  • CIPD qualified to level 5 as a minimum.
  • Previous relevant HR generalist/advisory experience.
  • Sound knowledge of current employment law and its application.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • High level of discretion due to the confidential nature of the role.
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and HR Database Systems.

Job Details Provide a full range of HR activities and duties, playing a key role in the overall long-term objectives of the Company. To ensure Human Resources matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with legal and company requirements.

Key Results Area Work in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management/development. Lead the recruitment process, liaising with recruiting manager and agency to ensure that job specifications and candidate shortlisting meet the needs of the business. First line support for all on site HR queries. Coaching and supporting line managers. Development and planning of HR strategy, implementing new processes and best practice. Ad hoc HR Projects as required.

What will this role involve? Working closely with all departments in assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures. Provide a timely and accurate advisory service on aspects of employee relations and ensure compliance with current employment law. Recruitment and selection, including preparation of candidate specifications, recruitment advertising, shortlisting, selection interviewing and the issuing of offer letters, contracts of employment, pay and benefits, and particularly managing the relationship with the recruitment agencies. Management of data within the internal HR system ConneX. Compliance of disciplinary procedures, including handling discipline and grievance interviews and dealing with employment related issues. Monitor absence levels and work with line management to address any employee concerns/challenges. Involvement in performance management procedures and management of the company appraisal process. Work closely with HR colleagues across the business to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice. Maintain effective induction processes for all levels of staff, including probationary reviews. Involvement in the employee life cycle processes including leaver administration and exit interviews. Administer the monthly payroll information (employee absence, Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, etc and ensuring all new employees/leavers are actioned. Support the administration of the company pension scheme to ensure all new employees are included. Administer all personnel correspondence accurately and in a timely manner (mortgage references, employment references, etc).
