Summary: The HR Advisor role is a 13-month fixed-term contract focused on providing comprehensive HR support within TSL, a leading technical engineering and construction partner. The position involves preparing HR reports, ensuring compliance with employment law, and advising managers on various HR matters. The role is office-based in Gerrards Cross and reports to the Head of HR. The HR Advisor will also oversee absence management and support the delivery of the HR Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare HR reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, industry regulations, and internal HR policies.
  • Assist with reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures as required.
  • Provide expert advice to managers on HR policies, disciplinary matters, grievances, performance management, absence management, and general employee relation issues.
  • Support formal meetings, performance issues, absence management, investigations, and hearings, ensuring compliance with employment law and company procedures.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and business partnering.
  • Support the delivery of the HR Business Plan (BAU and new improvement initiatives).
  • Oversee the absence management within the Workday system – to include ad-hoc, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Lead on Workday in respect of compliance, ad-hoc, and routine reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in supporting employee relations cases from start to finish.
  • Good organisational skills and an ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Workday).
  • Several years’ experience of working within a HR team in the capacity of a HR administrator or HR Advisor.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Workday).
  • Several years’ experience of working within a HR team in the capacity of a HR administrator or HR Advisor.
  • Desirable CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is preferred.
