Summary: The HR Service Manager (Engagement) role is a 12-month fixed-term contract within the public sector, focusing on the development and implementation of inclusion and diversity strategies. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to support HR initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The role is hybrid, requiring two days a week on-site in either Liverpool or Norwich. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and experience in HR practices, particularly in inclusion and diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with stakeholders of all levels to generate commitment to inclusion and diversity goals, providing comprehensive advice and consultancy on specific issues.
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple directorates to develop, review, and implement the organisation's inclusion and diversity strategy plans.
- Monitoring and reporting on the progression of inclusion and diversity plans to the senior leadership team.
- Managing reporting requirements to demonstrate progress against the inclusion and diversity strategy and measures required by the organisation and current legislation.
- Analysing, drafting, and preparing reports, presentations, and briefing notes on ongoing project work.
- Assisting in developing, updating, and facilitating material to instruct employees and managers on inclusion and empowerment.
- Supporting the production of mandated and ad-hoc reports, such as Gender/Ethnicity Pay Gap reports.
- Coaching line managers to increase confidence and capability within the HR Services team.
- Using data and insights to develop evidence-based initiatives supporting the HR strategy delivery.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements on key projects and develop best practice solutions.
Key Skills:
- Experience within a similar HR role.
- Knowledge of HR principles and practices, particularly in inclusion and diversity.
- Experience in HR analytics is beneficial.
- Experience in coaching line management.
- Outstanding communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Proven ability to influence decision-makers and engage in strategic negotiations.
