Summary: The HR Service Desk Assistant role is a dynamic position within the HR Service Desk team, responsible for managing employee inquiries and supporting various HR processes. The role involves onboarding new employees, maintaining HR systems, and collaborating with other HR teams to enhance service delivery. The position requires a client-focused approach and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate as part of a team of HR Assistants to manage and respond to inquiries from colleagues and managers.
- Assist with onboarding new starters, including paperwork and right to work documentation.
- Collate new starter information and ensure timely receipt of employee information.
- Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle and process changes.
- Act as a central point of contact for employee queries on HR policies and procedures.
- Generate HR correspondence to support HR processes.
- Undertake administrative activities in support of core HR processes.
- Ensure HR systems are updated accurately for monthly payroll.
- Maintain electronic HR files and manage absence reporting.
- Assist HR advisors with core HR concepts and processes.
- Develop relationships with other HR teams.
- Process requests in accordance with agreed SLAs.
- Identify and contribute to process enhancements for team efficiency.
- Handle confidential information in line with data security protocols.
- Support the wider HR team with ad hoc project work.
- Communicate effectively to provide high-quality service.
Key Skills:
- Previous HR/Recruitment administration experience is desirable.
- Client service-focused approach with attention to detail.
- Experience in delivering outstanding customer service.
- Team-oriented and collaborative with a flexible attitude.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload under pressure.
- Excellent IT literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with operational HR/Recruitment systems is desirable.
- CIPD qualified or working towards qualification.
