Summary: The HR Business Partner for Housing will lead the delivery and development of HR services, focusing on strategic support for the Housing Division. This role involves managing complex casework, driving service improvements, ensuring compliance with legislation, and providing expert advice to management. The position also includes overseeing HR operations and managing a team to enhance service delivery within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery and development of HR services for the Housing Division.
- Handle complex casework and manage change initiatives.
- Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Provide expert HR advice to managers and directors.
- Drive service improvements and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify service shortfalls and recommend innovative solutions.
- Participate in hearings and appeals as necessary.
- Prepare reports and attend Directorate Management Team (DMT) meetings.
- Ensure the HR website is updated and functioning correctly.
- Develop and implement policy toolkits.
Key Skills:
- Full understanding of the educational and political climate affecting HR.
- Demonstrable record in employee relations, particularly in complex casework and TUPE.
- Experience in managing a varied workload with conflicting priorities.
- Proven ability to manage and develop staff effectively.
- Experience in report writing and communicating complex issues.
- Knowledge of developing and implementing legally compliant policies.
- Strong influencing and people management skills.
- Clear understanding of people leadership and organizational change.
- Flexibility to work hours as required by the role.
