Summary: The HR Advisor role is a maternity cover position within a respected organization, focusing on supporting day-to-day HR operations. The successful candidate will provide HR advice, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with HR policies. This position is ideal for an experienced HR professional or an HR officer seeking advisory experience. The role emphasizes a proactive approach in a dynamic HR environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing timely and accurate HR advice to staff and line managers
  • Supporting employee relations matters including absence management, performance issues, investigations, grievances, and disciplinary hearings
  • Generating reports and analysing HR data to inform decision-making
  • Managing staff probation processes and contractor safeguarding checks
  • Ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment legislation
  • Responding to general HR queries and maintaining up-to-date employee records via a HRIS
  • Assisting with letters and HR documentation

Key Skills:

  • Solid understanding of employment law and best practices
  • Previous HR experience handling a wide range of HR-related matters
  • Experience supporting hearings and dealing with sickness, absence, and safeguarding matters
  • Proactive and capable HR professional
  • Ability to generate reports and analyse HR data
  • Experience with HRIS systems
