Summary: The HR Advisor role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based at the Liverpool Head Office, focusing on providing practical advice on employee relations matters, particularly in absence, disciplinary, and grievance casework. Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and support managers by providing practical advice and guidance via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
- Manage employee relations casework, focusing on long and short-term absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
- Build positive working relationships while offering advice and guidance in line with company policy, employment law, and best practice.
- Use case management systems and spreadsheets to record, track, and monitor case activity accurately.
- Review and update company policies in line with legislative changes and business requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
- Keep up to date with employment legislation and HR guidance.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in an Employee Relations Advisor or similar HR advisory role.
- Experience of managing employee relations casework, particularly absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
- Experience of using case management systems and spreadsheets to manage and monitor cases effectively.
- CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD qualification in Human Resource Management.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practice, and GDPR.
- A professional, approachable, and supportive style.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of business needs.
- Confidence in delivering training and presentations.
