Summary: The HR Advisor role at CityFleet NorthWest focuses on employee relations, engagement, and providing HR support across the business. This position is part of a centralized HR team within Addison Lee and involves advising line managers, managing employee relations cases, and supporting HR projects. The role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to enhance HR practices and ensure compliance with employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise, guide, and coach line managers on employee relations matters.
  • Manage casework related to disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and other HR issues.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Partner on onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Oversee the probation process from start to finish.
  • Analyze employee relations activity and produce monthly reports for improvement.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders to promote effective employee relations practices.
  • Deliver training workshops to enhance line managers' people management skills.
  • Ensure consistent employee engagement across sites in collaboration with the Internal Comms Manager.
  • Act as a functional expert on People Policies and Procedures.
  • Stay updated on employment legislation and implement HR initiatives.

  • Demonstrable experience in an advisory HR role with high volumes of employee relations cases.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Proven ownership of managing employee relations cases.
  • Desire for continuous improvement in HR and employment law knowledge.
  • Data-driven and analytical approach to managing employee relations.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or above.
  • Experience with maternity, paternity, and long-term sickness cases.
