As the Head of the Production you are expected to work with the company directors to manage the production dept (including post producers), talent dept and creative dept by managing resources, supporting and guiding the teams to adhere to company procedures and values; so that the company effectively wins pitches and delivers production work to a satisfactory level, whilst hitting financial targets.
Your role is a senior managerial position and requires you manage staff, ensuring that they perform their roles in line with their job description and company protocols.
Strategic and Tactical Work:
- You manage the producers, production managers and production assistant aligning their work and resources to hitting financial targets.
- You manage the creative dept so that they are resourced efficiently and complete their pitching and paid work well.
- You manage the talent team to ensure they meet any pitches with a robust response, ensuring the company wins work and hits targets.
- To ensure that company standards to adhered to by all production staff, talent staff and creative staff.
- Ensuring continuity between creative producers and maintaining a high level or service.
- Working on client relationships, through networking and arranging production dump meetings. Ensuring clients have a good service across the board.
- Liaising with post-production to ensure the smooth running of projects from prod to post. Working directly with facilities to ensure post staff are there to complete projects on time, on time and to company standards.
- Keeping a fully up to date pipedrive.
- Keeping producers in touch with agency clients and feeding back into new biz and accounts to maintain client communication.
- Working through workflow problems between production and post. Between creative, new biz and production and post, from a overview POV.
- Building the repeat business by delivering a professional service.
- Managing legal docs for client and projects.
- Manage the reconciliation of all projects, ensuring that all financial paperwork is processed in line with company protocols. Working with the CEO and finance admin to make sure all projects are invoiced, all bills are paid, and that company finances are kept tidy.

- The company is resourced properly and is making profit margins as expected or exceeded in terms of the financial goals of the company.
