Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the Political Violence Profit and Loss account and report to the MGA Exec monthly.
- Engage with key stakeholders and third-party brokers to grow the portfolio.
- Design PV facilities with capital providers and binder brokers for profitable growth.
- Review renewal and new submissions for acceptability prior to underwriting.
- Draft new contract wordings in line with market changes.
- Calculate Profit Commission on binding authorities and manage associated payments.
- Oversee credit control for the portfolio and ensure premium payments are handled according to guidelines.

Managerial Responsibilities
Managing a team of Underwriters within Globe Underwriting UK as well as the international MGA footprint.
To negotiate and advise on the binding authority guidelines with capital providers and maintain profitability of the account in line with the budget.
Principal Tasks
To manage the Political Violence Profit and Loss account and to report to the MGA Exec on a monthly basis.
To engage with key stakeholders across Ardonagh group as well as third party brokers in order to grow the portfolio.
To engage with capital providers and in tandem with the binder broker to design the PV facilities that will enable continued profitable growth.
To manage and grow the PV book and team in line with budget targets.
To manage the review of renewal and new submissions for acceptability prior to being underwritten.
Carry out such projects and other duties and tasks as may from time to time be specified by the management team in Globe
Drafting of new contract wordings to stay in line with market changes.
Calculate the Profit Commission on the binding authorities and manage the associated payments.
Oversee credit control for the portfolio and ensure all premium payments handles in accordance with binding authority guidelines.
Generic Knowledge Requirements
Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the relevant aspects of the Law of Agency and the Law of Contract to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the general concepts of insurance to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
Good working knowledge of the UK & international regulatory requirements as they affect the business of the Political Violence section
To be aware of legal and jurisdictional requirements in territorial limits worked on and maintain up to date knowledge of current market practices.
Knowledge of Political Violence wordings
