Summary: The Head of HR will provide strategic leadership on people-related matters within the Shadow Football Regulator, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent while fostering an inclusive culture. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive People strategy aligned with organizational objectives and overseeing workforce planning and talent management initiatives. The position is critical as the organization prepares for the establishment of the Independent Football Regulator following the passage of the Football Governance Bill. The role is a 2-year fixed-term contract based in Greater Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, develop, and implement an IFR People strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the success of the People Strategy.
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop people strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on complex HR issues.
  • Oversee workforce planning to ensure the right skills and capacity.
  • Lead talent management, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Lead complex casework, including employee relations and performance management.
  • Manage a team of 5, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in workforce planning and HR transformation.
  • Strong understanding of HR Policy and Employee Relations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders through strategic challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience delivering strategy in large, complex organizations.
  • Chartered membership of the CIPD/Level 7 or equivalent qualification.
