Summary: The role of Head of HR/HR Manager involves overseeing the entire HR function, providing strategic guidance, and managing a team to implement HR initiatives aligned with business goals. The position requires a hands-on approach to daily operations, talent management, and employee relations while ensuring compliance and performance against KPIs. The role is based in Tunbridge Wells and offers a hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have previous HR management experience and be CIPD qualified.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a talent management plan to attract and retain employees
- Build and deliver a comprehensive recruitment strategy aligned with seasonality/staff attrition/growth plans
- Oversee hiring processes, ensuring that hiring managers and the HR team have tools available to successfully source candidates, interview and recruit
- Create onboarding plans for all levels of new employees
- Facilitate succession planning
- Provide expert advice and support on all HR matters, at every level of the business
- Supervise and resolve complex employee relation issues
- Act as a bridge between management and employees by addressing performance management issues and employee demands
- Direct and mentor HR team members
- Define career pathways and learning & development plans with relevant training tools and manage any third-party resources
- Conduct salary benchmarking exercises and support management with performance reviews and subsequent support plans
- Manage HR reporting requirements against KPIs
- Review, develop, and monitor HR policies and procedures, along with implementing changes where necessary to drive performance and mitigate disputes
- Drive alignment between HR strategies, policies, and business goals in collaboration with senior management
- Check that policies and procedures are being followed at all times
- Support with payroll, pensions and benefit management
Key Skills:
- CIPD Qualified
- Previous experience as a HR Manager with people management skills
- Strong knowledge of employment law
- People oriented and results driven with a positive & proactive attitude
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Ability to define and execute action plans
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven ability to deal with a range of HR issues
