Summary: The Head of Financial Reporting and Accounting will lead the financial setup of a new public sector subsidiary, establishing robust structures and governance. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial setup of a new public sector subsidiary, including systems, policies, and controls.
- Design and implement financial reporting frameworks and processes.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, FReM, and wider external reporting requirements.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, including the Senior Manager, Tax Manager, and external auditors.
- Provide leadership and direction to establish a best-in-class financial reporting function.
- Draft technical accounting papers and briefing materials for senior decision-makers.
Key Skills:
- ACA-qualified accountant (or equivalent), with strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
- Significant experience in year-end accounts closure and group accounting.
- Leadership experience in financial reporting within large or complex organisations.
- Advanced Excel and analytical capability.
- Strong communication skills, with proven ability to produce high-quality reports and stakeholder briefings.
