Summary: The role of Head of Finance at an industry-leading manufacturing business in Bristol is an interim position created due to the finance director's secondment for 18 months. The successful candidate will lead financial controls, ensuring accurate reporting and management information while overseeing a team and liaising with various stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of financial standards and tax regulations, along with excellent interpersonal skills. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a focus on timely financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial postings and month-end closing activities, including conversion to IFRS standards
• Lead Year End reporting and liaising with the external auditors
• Analysis and commentary on the management accounts and project accounts utilising relations with commercial colleagues
• Leadership & calculation for taxes (VAT, CT, ICTP)
• Supervise team of 3 in Bristol and liaise with GBS team
• Support FD and prepare board packs with KPI analysis
• Liaise with Internal auditors and external tax advisors
• Coordinate and support overhead budget setting and quarterly review
• Partner with business and provide Finance support on Tenders and projects

Key Skills:

• ACCA, CIMA OR ACA or part qualified/qualified by experience
• Knowledge and understanding of UK tax
• Understanding of IFRS102 and IFRS accounting
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
