Summary: The Head of Finance at RM will lead the financial operations of the organization, ensuring financial health through strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting. This role requires a hands-on leader who can provide insights to support the company's growth while managing a finance team. The position is hybrid, requiring occasional office visits in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in financial management and compliance, with a focus on improving processes and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly financial forecasting.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the company’s cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the finance team.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Lead financial due diligence and support the M&A process.
- Communicate financial performance and insights to stakeholders.
- Continuously assess and improve financial processes and systems.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
- Strong experience in finance with significant leadership experience.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles (GAAP).
- Advanced proficiency with financial software and financial modelling tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with fundraising and financial due diligence processes is a plus.
