Summary: The Payroll Administrator (iTrent) role is a part-time, four-month fixed-term contract focused on processing the Summer School payroll for approximately 300 staff members. The position requires comprehensive experience with the iTrent payroll system and involves various payroll-related tasks, including data entry, compliance checks, and communication with staff. This role offers the flexibility of working from home for 25 hours per week during the summer months. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail in their applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collating and inputting payroll data changes into iTrent
  • Checking Payroll and HR changes for accuracy
  • Verifying statutory absence calculations
  • Spot checking tax and National Insurance deductions
  • Ensuring compliance with National Minimum Wage
  • Communicating with clients (staff) and other departments for data accuracy
  • Producing fortnightly reports and ad-hoc reports as required
  • Processing FPS and HMRC downloads each pay period
  • Liaising with the Payroll team regarding period end balancing
  • Answering payroll queries
  • Assisting with processing third-party payments

Key Skills:

  • Experience of working with iTrent (essential)
  • Experience in a busy payroll department
  • Accurate and diligent attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently with payroll processes on a bi-weekly basis
  • Experience of processing FPS and HMRC downloads
