Summary: The Head of Business Continuity, Risk, and Major Incident Planning will lead the development and implementation of risk management frameworks at a leading educational institution in Wolverhampton. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance operational resilience and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations. The position is temporary or fixed-term for six months, starting ASAP and ending on September 30, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management and business continuity frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Board of Governors and the Vice Chancellor, to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
- Design and maintain the University's Major Incident Plan, ensuring alignment with regional and national frameworks.
- Provide expert advice and training across the University, empowering staff to effectively manage risks and respond to incidents.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing business continuity and risk in a large organisation or public body.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
