Summary: The Guidewire Consultant role at AmpsTek involves working on implementation, upgrade, and support projects for Guidewire xCenters, requiring deep functional expertise in the insurance industry. The consultant will lead support teams across multiple time zones, ensuring high availability of production environments and managing defect resolution. The position demands strong technical skills in Guidewire systems and a solid understanding of the Property and Casualty insurance domain. This is an on-site role based in London, UK, classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in Implementation, Upgrade and support project with on-prem, GWCP and private Cloud hosted version of Guidewire xCenters (version 10.x & cloud versions).
  • Manage client co-ordination and deep functional or insurance (P&C) industry expertise especially on Personal and/or commercial lines.
  • Lead L2/L3/L4 support teams working across India, US & UK.
  • Lead distributed teams working across 3 different time zones effectively handle production defects, arresting defect inflow and maintaining a healthy trend in issues management.
  • Ensure near 24/7 environment availability for production and non-production environments, exceeding customer service level agreements.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and identify systemic defect patterns, areas of opportunities to improve and control flow of defects.
  • Define & Socialize plan of action to eliminate and control defects.
  • Enhance application logging standards across Guidewire services to achieve faster MTTR through proactive alerting & anomaly detection.
  • Manage centralized monitoring & observability dashboards for real-time health tracking.

Key Skills:

  • Total Guidewire Experience: 8+ years.
  • ClaimCenter Experience: 5+ years.
  • Must be Guidewire Certified Developer – preferably ACE certified.
  • Good experience in Property and Casualty insurance domain.
  • Strong understanding of Policy, claim and Billing life cycles and transactions in Guidewire systems.
  • Strong understanding of Guidewire xCenters (version 10.x & cloud versions).
  • Working Experience across other Guidewire centers and integration gateway.
  • Strong working experience of implementing GUnit automation framework for business rule validation.
  • Mastery at execution of Guidewire recommended best practices and Surepath methodology.
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire xCenters (version 10.x & cloud versions) configuration.
  • Sound knowledge of Guidewire xCenters (version 10.x & Cloud) customization and integration using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with batch processes, Guidewire Messaging framework, and OOTB plugins.
  • Strong knowledge on Software architecture and design in Guidewire Ecosystem.
  • Strong expertise in Gosu, Core Java, SQL.
  • Implementing structured SDLC with CI/CD controls.
  • Experience with defect triaging, estimation, stakeholder management, and application enhancements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptability in client implementation environments.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies for application improvement.
