Summary: The role of Group Finance Director is an interim position aimed at providing backfill for the Acting CFO from March 2025. The successful candidate will lead a finance team of approximately 40 FTEs and oversee various financial operations, including transaction services, compliance, and systems management. The position requires strategic leadership to implement financial improvements and manage key projects during the cover period. The contract duration is expected to be between 6 to 12 months, from April 2025 to September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interim cover for the Acting CFO position.
- Lead and manage a finance team of approximately 40 FTEs, including 6 direct reports.
- Oversee Financial Transaction Services, ensuring efficient onboarding of new contracts and transaction processing improvements.
- Manage the Report to Control team, ensuring compliance and efficient audit processes.
- Drive reporting, enablement, and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
- Ensure stable delivery of finance systems and support financial planning cycles.
- Oversee tax and pension-related responsibilities, including corporation tax and legal entity restructuring.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in finance leadership roles, particularly as a Group Finance Director or similar.
- Strong understanding of financial compliance, reporting, and audit processes.
- Proficiency in finance systems management, particularly with Oracle ERP.
- Ability to lead and manage large teams effectively.
- Experience in driving process improvements and implementing financial education programs.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and pension plan management.
