Summary: The Group Engineering Manager at NATS is responsible for delivering engineering services at Glasgow and Southampton Airports, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team of engineers, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and overseeing the effective delivery of operational services. The position also emphasizes continuous service improvement and effective risk management within the engineering services. The successful candidate will be based at Glasgow Airport with travel to Southampton Airport required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team at each allocated Airport consisting of a Senior Engineer and up to 4 engineers.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the focal point for engineering services for allocated contracts.
  • Ensure effective management of the day-to-day delivery of operational services to meet agreed Service Levels.
  • Manage operational service risks and make risk-based decisions to maintain a safe and efficient engineering service.
  • Ensure that all technical, financial, quality, regulatory, safety, and customer requirements are met.
  • Manage suppliers effectively, including assisting with contract negotiations.
  • Support business development activities and strive for Continuous Service Improvement.
  • Provide ‘Voice of the Customer’ to ensure projects meet agreed success criteria.
