The Role: Graduate Sales Engineer In order to continue growing successfully, ifm electronic is looking for a high quality individual to join our vibrant sales team on a two year fixed term contract. Your initial role will be to increase the qualified pipeline of new sales opportunities generated and this will be achieved by applying a strategic approach at target companies who are unfamiliar with ifm solutions that can help improve their business. Once qualified, the sales opportunities will be passed to an account manager to complete the selling process. As you gain more experience you will be given responsibility to complete the full sales process. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to begin or develop their career in sales with a company that implements a world-class sales approach. Reporting direct to a member of senior management you will learn new sales skills and have opportunities to progress further in the company. The role will be based in our Edinburgh office and the successful candidate will be expected to work from there. At the end of the two year fixed term contract the expectation is that the job holder will be offered a permanent position as a Regional Sales Engineer.

Experience / Qualifications: Some sales experience and a basic knowledge of industrial automation applications is preferred but not essential. Ideally educated to a minimum of ONC/HNC standard, you possess a reasonable electrical knowledge gained through studies or practical experience in industry. Full product training will be given.
