Summary: The Full-Stack Developer (AWS Serverless) role involves transitioning legacy document management systems to cloud-native solutions within a public sector organization. The position requires expertise in AWS and serverless architectures, focusing on developing microservices using AWS Lambda and Typescript/JavaScript. The developer will collaborate with teams to enhance search capabilities and improve data management processes. This is a hybrid role based in Edinburgh with a contract duration of 12 months, potentially extendable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate legacy document management data to new cloud systems.
- Enhance search capabilities for Search Sheets and indexes.
- Implement event-driven updates and data refreshes for Search Sheet metadata.
- Onboard new API endpoints for user access to Search Sheets.
- Investigate and plan migration of legacy Archive services to cloud-based solutions.
- Replace legacy pipeline automation with modern best practices and security checks.
- Migrate, verify, and test document groups to the new Land Register archive.
- Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and agile teams to design solutions.
- Improve backup and restoration capabilities in the existing archive.
Key Skills:
- Experience in designing and implementing solutions using AWS and serverless architectures.
- Strong skills in Typescript/JavaScript, React, and Java Spring.
- Solid experience with AWS CodePipeline, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Aurora Serverless, and S3.
- Experience with authentication services via Cognito and IAM.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A passion for delivering high-quality software and value to stakeholders.
