Contract Full Stack Developer – Fintech (Hybrid, London) We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a fintech company on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office), based in Baker Street, London, offering a day rate of £550 (Inside IR35). This role will focus on building and enhancing data-driven platforms, working closely with investment teams, quants, and analysts. Strong communication skills and a proactive, energetic approach are essential.

Key Requirements

  • Strong Python development experience, particularly in building platforms and scalable systems
  • Experience within financial services, ideally working with investment teams, quants, or analysts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with stakeholders
  • C# experience is desirable but not essential

Required Experience

  • Experience building and operating production systems over time, ideally in an iterative environment
  • Strong proficiency in: Python SQL Cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g. Dagster)
  • Experience working with analytical or data-intensive workloads
  • Ability to work closely with users to understand workflows, identify pain points, and translate these into technical solutions
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a systems-thinking mindset

Highly Desirable Experience

  • Experience with .NET, ideally C#
  • Experience building internal platforms or developer tooling (e.g. PaaS)
  • Experience supporting data science or analytics workflows
