Summary: The Freelance End Point Assessor role at NOCN involves evaluating candidates in the final stages of their apprenticeship for the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician standard. Assessors will conduct Knowledge Assessments, Practical Observations, and Technical Interviews while ensuring compliance with NOCN's quality assurance processes. The position is remote or hybrid, requiring travel to various sites for assessments. NOCN seeks qualified individuals with expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical engineering to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess apprentices against the relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours throughout the Work Based Project, Portfolio of Evidence, and Professional Discussion/Panel Interview.
- Upload assessment reports in a timely manner in accordance with NOCN's service level agreements.
- Prepare for assessments and identify gaps in the apprentice's KSBs.
- Build rapport with apprentices to facilitate optimal performance during assessments.
- Maintain hands-on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the subject area to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
- Represent NOCN professionally during assessments.
- Adhere to GDPR practices and ensure data security.
- Moderate other assessors' work in line with internal quality assurance procedures.
Key Skills:
- Hold a Level 3 assessing qualification.
- Possess a Level 4 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Have 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Maintain relevant and current CPD in the plant maintenance industry.
