Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct AML/CDD checks of varying complexity across multiple sectors, practice areas, and jurisdictions
- Carry out investigative research using both internal and external sources to gather and verify documentation
- Identify and analyse high-risk indicators such as PEP involvement, complex structures, state ownership, and high-risk jurisdictions
- Escalate high-risk matters through the appropriate approval processes, preparing referrals where required
- Complete matter-level risk assessments, ensuring accurate evaluation of risks and mitigations
- Maintain internal CDD, AML, and sanctions databases
- Support the monitoring and improvement of compliance systems and controls, participating in project-based work as directed
- Provide guidance on day-to-day AML and sanctions queries, helping colleagues apply relevant policies effectively
Key Skills:
- Experience in risk, AML, sanctions, or compliance within legal, financial services, or professional services environments (preferred but not essential)
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to review documentation thoroughly and identify risk indicators

Working from one of the client’s UK offices (Leeds, Manchester or Glasgow), you will play an important role in managing and mitigating risk, maintaining robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) processes, and providing essential support across compliance activities. This fixed-term contract is ideal for individuals with experience in financial crime, regulatory compliance, or risk management within professional, financial, or legal services.
