Summary: The Financial Crime Consultant role is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in London, focusing on enhancing the firm's financial crime framework, particularly in AML and Market Abuse. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the firm’s AML and market abuse compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with UK and international regulatory standards.
- Review, enhance, and implement policies and procedures relating to AML, CTF, sanctions, fraud prevention, and market abuse.
- Provide advisory support to business units on financial crime risks and regulatory obligations.
- Support and, where required, lead financial crime projects, such as system enhancements, process reviews, or remediation initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments and assist in the development of mitigating controls.
Key Skills:
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in financial crime compliance within an investment firm.
- Strong knowledge of UK AML regulations, Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), FCA Handbook, and related legislation.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in project management or leading change initiatives.
