Summary: The role of Financial Accountant is a temporary 4-month position based in Guildford, focusing on supporting the Group's annual financial statement audit and ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will manage audit deliverables, prepare financial statements, and coordinate with various teams to minimize audit issues. This position requires a proactive approach to financial reporting and compliance within the Education and Training sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of the Group's annual financial statement audit.
• Assist with the preparation of the Group Consolidation File.
• Liaise with audit teams and deliver all requested audit deliverables.
• Respond to additional audit requests and queries.
• Manage and coordinate responses from Finance and non-Finance team members.
• Coordinate and review all Corporation Tax Computations.
• Prepare and review Group and Subsidiary financial statements.
• Minimize audit journals and management letter points.
• Attend and lead audit update and close meetings.
• Manage the production of subsidiary Statutory Accounts for all legal entities.
• Prepare and ensure successful audit of the Annual Reports and Accounts in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Review month-end revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Regularly review and update accounting policies for IFRS compliance.
• Develop/update discounted cash flow model for impairment review.

Key Skills:

• Experience in financial accounting and audit processes.
